Pengkalan Kubor Duty-Free Zone is another shopping heaven in Kelantan. Pengkalan Kubor is slightly nearer to Kota Bharu than Rantau Panjang Duty-Free Zone. Pengkalan Kubor town is separated from Thailand through the same river, named Sungai Golok, but the border town of Thailand is Tak Bai, Narathiwat province. To cross the border, you have to take a ferry or a small boat available at the jetty. Currently, there is no bridge linking both towns, and the ferry service is able to carry up to medium size vehicles.
