I hunt and area that has an old clear cut that js a planted wild flower plot pretty far back into the woods the whole thing is shaped like an oval about 500 yards long and about 80 yards wide maybe 100. It also has a river that runs along it. The stretch of woods that runs along the river in-between the patch is about 50 yards wide. It is a VERY productive spot for deer hunting. I have scouted along the entire river stretch looking for crossings and I have a setup on a main crossing of the river that blends with the 50 yard funnel. Boy it's truly a magical spot

I find the deer use the old skid roads from clear cutting to travel and the roads often hold pockets of water they will use

I have a block of woods that years ago was field with terrace rows in I've found they like to travel the edges of the terraces for cover maybe I don't know don't really care it has produced some nice over the years

I literally used this philosophy and found a spot EXACTLY like he described and killed the biggest deer of my life yesterday on public. Love what yall do and thanks for all the information you guys put out.
