It’s a pretty big liability and the last thing you want to do is lock up all your extra cash in equity in your house that you can never access unless you sell or take out loans against it at a super high rate. Pay your mortgage obviously but not a cent more!!

A house is not an asset unless you’re making money off it by renting it out or something. It’s a liability if you live in it because it’s on you to maintain it as the owner.
