If u use a one way bearing it will free spool on lick back but the motor wont make full rotaion like wind sheld wipers its will try to finish the rotaion to its programed stoping point

I’m not sure that’s how that works if the force is being applied through the non ratcheting orientation the kickback is going back pushing against the torquing force I don’t see how it will ratchet it would have to backfire the opposite direction wouldn’t it?

I think you should try to make a way so the moter comes from the inside and fases out to pervent less bulk

Could you possibly jerry rig an mtb hub for the rachet part? Theyre meant to take lots of force and spin fast so itd work for a while and sound cooler than a standard rachet
