Spirits 50 proof and above will not freeze in a conventional freezer. However, small amounts of liquor can freeze in the ice cream base. 3 tbsp of liquor to one quart of base.

For anybody that actually cares; It freezes because of how much they dilute it.
25% ABV (or above) liquor won’t freeze. Vodka tends to be 40%. Flavored vodka, like what they use, tends to be 35%. Put one part of that alcohol into 20 parts of ice cream base, and it isn’t even 2% ABV.
