The FED raising interest rates affected the cost of credit which shrunk credit for the entire economy. If they'd done it slowly over several years, it'd have been fine, but they raised rates all at once, thus bending over small and medium businesses and consumers. The cost of corporate borrowing went up and the whole economy shrunk. Way to fix price collusion and supply chain inflation the wrong way FED, but FED economists don't care and they can be totally wrong and still fail upward!
