Good answer! I guess it's worth answering the mundane questions -- even though you asked for questions of substance -- if it educates people and encourages them to break their bad habits of relying on energy/fossil fuels unnecessarily.

Bravo Amy & Marc for foregoing la machine! I was born and raised in San Francisco and have used a clothesline and drying racks my entire life. It has always astounded me that, in places like California, everyone is not using the free and natural resource of the sun. Plus, it's meditative, so free therapy aussi ♥

We use our furnace room to dry large items. Depending on the weather we also put items outside. Off topic but I love the pattern on the top you are wearing.

Good one I’ve never had a drier either. Mine is either outside or hung on coat hangers on a clothes rail in our back room. 😀👍

Don’t have a dryer either. Clothes dry quickly especially with a summer like this year! Good for you!💚🌿

Love the top your wearing:) I’ve only ever used a dryer when I first married and I hated it. The dust in our house was horrible and I prefer my towels scratchy. Sunshine is best and we have ducted heating in winter so why waste it :)

I raise 5 children without a dryer and never felt the need even when l was working full time . And like you l love hanging the washing on the clothe line , and this was at the time where we had no disposable nappies. But l always loved in the country in the city it is different l suppose . It also save a lot of ironing.

Also driers ruin clothes. I find it funny that people are mindful about the temperature they wash their clothes in, but then just throw everything into a drier. Do they think that temperature all of a sudden has no effect on their clothing?

Amy, I love your dress, it is beautiful!! And we live in a condo and use drying racks inside or on our deck and it saves energy and prolongs the life of our clothes!

Hope this makes you smile my father hated dryers so mum dried all the sheets on the cloths line. Loved the smell of sheets dried in sun!
