Gotta disagree with this one, the current frontier is probably the better long term investment over the now turbo 4 only Tacoma

I normally would say no to anything nissan. With that said, the frontier is probably the better of the vehicles they make. The big drawback is the lack of resale vs the taco. Otherwise, they seem to hold up with good maintenance. Now, if it was a tundra vs a titan, yeah, they made a big mistake.

I have a '23 Frontier Pro4x. It towes our 21ft camper, about 3200 lbs, from El Paso TX to Nashville, TN with minimal struggle. Most of that struggle was on me though, being new to bumper pull. Did 60-65 everywhere but hills and finished the trip with 14.5 mpg average. Then i got sway bars and the trip back was even better

I've been hearing about the newer tacomas having transmission problems lately, I'm a mechanic at a nissan dealership and those newer gen frontiers aren't coming in for major failures very much if at all and they've been out a few years now

Those old Frontiers were old but weren’t slouches. Glad they kept the V6 on there. I would buy one too if I had the cash to burn on one.😅

Frontiers are just as reliable as the Tacoma and more affordable.

I would buy the Navarro which comes with a turbo diesel 4 cylinder but its not available in the U.S but i always see them cross the Mexican border in TX

Sorry. You're talking nonsense on this one my friend. The new Frontier has a relaible engine and transmission. No fancy gimmicks, easier to work on.

From what i heard the new frontier is actually pretty great cause its just the old truck's drivetrain woth an updated exterior and interior. One of the last simple trucks on sale. That being said I still would trust Toyota to make a hybrid that will stand the test of time (look at the prius)

The new tacomas are absolute dogwater. Hell, any new toyota is coming off the line with GM levels of QC issues. There are no good cars left anymore, those days have passed.

Its too much money for what it is. Yes it's the cheaper option of the 2 but its too close to the cost of a Tacoma. A much bether vehicle all around
