I thought this was going to be about littering. Those were eating size fish too. Shameful! I've seen some ice fishermen leaving small fish on the ice ever since I've been ice fishing. They'd complain about the small fish. OF course if you put them back they keep growing & a few years later . . .

Thanks Caleb. Rock bass are a native fish and have coevolved with the bluegills, crappies, pike, and other native fish. They are an important part of the fish community. Definitely they should not be wasted. The WDNR has not helped inspire respect for rock bass because they are not counted against your bag limit in Wisconsin. This regulation needs to be changed, in my opinion. Rock bass should be considered a panfish because they catch, clean, and cook like other panfish. Their population ecology is also similar to other panfish, although they might be slightly less gregarious. Caleb, have you you ever heard of anyone asking the DNR to include them with panfish in bag limit? What would you personally think about including them in the panfish bag limit? I think that most of my fishing friends are indifferent about rock bass regs. Let me know if you'd ever want to formally request a regulatory change. Thanks for your videos and conservation messages! What do u mean “I know there just rockbass” rock bass are beautiful fish they come in all colour’s specially here in souther Ontario, I’ve cought pail white to dark brown to golden as a gold walleye there one of the better tasting pan fish up there with crappie and perch plus they can get pretty big over a pound 16-18 inches, this one lake a fish I only fish for rockbass and largies and smallies, there’s lakers in other fish like pike also but the rockbass fishing is deadly I’m pulling 3-4-5 at a time hands full and out of nowhere a 6-7 pound largie comes and boom I’m on, find a pod of rockbass and a big fish won’t be far behind

I think we have a silent epidemic of unsportsmanlike conduct and poaching.
