香港手作會於2014年末由Alex創辦。Alex熱心於推廣香港的手作文化，並支援本地的手作家創業，使每位手作人都能延續熱情，發展夢想。
我與Alex傾談後，發現他想把其他地方蓬勃的手作文化帶來香港，以及把這些經驗分享給本地手作社區。Alex很關心本地創作者及設計師，但發現他們在香港的挑戰很大，所以他想透過提供著名設計及手作人的分享，提供商業服務和在本地社區作宣傳，籍此讓他們成長與學習，鞏固手作的事業，加強手作人之間的聯系和交流，有助手作人擴展社交網絡，擴闊視野。

Hong Kong Handmade Community was founded by Alex at the end of 2014. Alex is passionate about promoting handmade culture in Hong Kong, and supporting local hand makers to build up their business skills so they can follow their dreams and passions of running a handmade business.
Speaking with Alex, he wants to bring his experience with seeing the well developed handmade culture from there countries to Hong Kong, and share these experiences with the local community. Alex really cares about local artists and designers but realises there are many challenges ahead in the local handmade community. He believes that through providing sharing and learning opportunities from established artists, offering business services and promoting artists to the community that these are all areas that will help artists to grow and strengthen. Alex also wants to help artists to connect and share with other handmakers and broaden their networks.
Alex and his supportive team sincerely love the idea of helping others in the handmade community and want to share the handmade culture with others in Hong Kong.
