my favorite part is when a dog is confused with a cue or new piece of equipment (especially dog treadmills) and then it just.. clicks, and they realize, “I AM capable of doing this new challenging thing”, or in the case of treadmills, “oh hey I can tun full speed and nothing’s gonna stop me!”
I vring up treadmills because the contrast between the confused state and the confident realization, I find, is more clear in that situation

How do you deal with 'excited tea-kettling' from young dogs? I swear, the moment my Lads know it's time to work, you'd think your kettle was done. All I can hear from them is 'Hurry up! Hurry! Time to work! How dare you be so slow! There's work to do!'. 😂

I've been thinking about how hard positive reinforcement training is. There are a lot of pieces and it's taken me a hellava long time to build the skills. The payout (as seen here) feels so good, but it's not easy.
