I want to live in NYC, if only I can afford it.

I grew in Jersey City. Travelled to NYC very often. I would never trade it for living in the rural south. The warm weather alone beats it in every way imo.

I probably wouldn't ever live in NYC, but I sure enjoyed my visit in April! I loved the hustle and bustle of the city and I never felt unsafe. I visited Brooklyn for the first time and loved it! DUMBO was incredible.

Manhattan is ok to visit for a few days and see some shows, walk around. I’d never live there. There’s the stench of urine everywhere, I suppose New Yorkers are used to that. I saw a rat the size of a small dog once in Central Park.

The outer boroughs like Queens resemble 3rd world slums and most of the housing looks very run down.

My ancestors arrived in 1850's and left for the midwest soon afterwards.

I love NYC, no place like it. A 24 hour city, but just too damn expensive. I lived there for 13 years and would still be there, if I could afford it. I don't like having roommates lol

I never loved NYC and I lived less than an hour outside of it for a number of years, NYC has been basically a cesspool for as long as I can remember with the exception of a relatively brief period when Giuliani cleaned it up.

Man, the only thing (besides rent prices) that keeps me from moving to nyc is no good mountain for snowboarding nearby
