Thing is: 70 Bucks is the price now. Just three years ago, it was around 45 bucks. Prices are rising fast - and I think it's partly due to US pricing. The ski resorts here are figuring out that there is a group of skiers who will ski, and ski lots, at ANY price. Yes - it's the idle rich - and Euro ski areas are figuring out that it is very profitable to cater to them. (I WONT pay much more. If the prices rise again faster than inflation - I will only tour. Full stop. It sucks)

It do not matter what the costs of skiing is in the US - everbody knows that the US is ridicolous in pricing EVERTHING. BUT IN Austria- in earlier dass- every citizin could afford skiing - also the poorest one. Nowadays it is so expensive that only the wealthiest citizen can afford to go skiing! This is lunatic. And it do not work if any American makes advert , because in Europe skiing is cheaper than in the US.

I'm from Sweden and plan to go for a week, $200 for the lift pass and $200 for the apartment also $200 for travel since it's very far. But i think $600 for a week of skiing is pretty nice

Im over here considering buying the magic pass to go snowboarding and skiing in switzerland 399chf (early bird ticket) just to find out thats what a single day in the us would cost plus après-ski 😅
