Megalodon was soo freaking massive and after dunkleosteus people were ready for a downsize. But then it went and got bigger!

I was always suspicious why an ultrapredator would be so bulky at such a body length. Especially since other upper sized predators (physeter, Balenoptera, and cf. Ichthyotitan) all had more elongated bodies.
