Hey faye.
Most cars form the late 70โ€™s back never had plastic fender liners.
I run a car restoration business here in australia. This is what I do with most of my cars I build.

Very good, by dad used roofing tar in his cars back east. He never had rust problems in the tire well area.

Seems like a good idea. I watched a sweet review of bedliner brands. The one you chose was in my top two. I want to use it for my RV roof. The YouTube channel project farm did the review. His reviews are excellent. One of the bedliner brands dissolved when fuel was put on it. Some did better with impact resistance like road rocks bippity bappin it. Great usable info often. Same as this channel. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’ช

Faye for President!!!
Luuuvvv this woman!!!
I could listen to her talk, for hourrrrrrs, about annnnnnything she luved and was super passionate about.
Her personality is absolutely phenomenal, and her positive attitude is totally infectious.
She would make annny person who was around her a better human being, just by osmosis.
She's the type of person pretty much evvvvvvverybody who wasn't a psycopath or sociopath would luuuvvv.
If there was a person who didn't absolutely luv Faye, I wouldddN't wanna know 'em!

Sorta works as long as there is zero moisture content under the bed liner. If any moisture gets under the liner it's rots out pretty quick. What happens is over time grit and debris will create pinholes in the liner then moisture gets in. I prefer coating agents like bar and chain oil that you apply every other year or so. But that smells for a couple days too, so some don't like that option.

Actually I think that's better than the plastic liners. Prevents rust. Great idea.

I did it! Works just fine, if not better! Plus no tire rub.

I have done this. I am going to do it again on my first gen after I make new inner fenders. I have also done rubber undercoating. I had a buddy pop rivet on some of those flexible cutting boards and it worked for a while.

I did this on my 92 Mitsubishi eclipse. It works like a charm.

I would. Most certainly. I'm from Florida and have seen more than a few car guys use everything from paint to roofing tar to protect the under carriage. A great Idead is a great idea when it works. Regardless of the ideas source. โœŒ๏ธ

I use bedliner for so many things especially on my trucks (besides the beds themselves I mean) it's super versatile. So personally I love it.

Very creative Faye! I should have thought of that back in my high school days when I bought my first car - a stock 67' Camaro RS for $700. My dad and I fixed it up, painted it coco brown. I then put on some Crager mags with wide Cooper tires. Unfortunately the front tires would hit the fender liners whenever I made a sharp turn or a big did. As a result I had to put the front stock tires back on. Didn't look as good. I should have removed the fender liners! I think what you're doing...using hurcu-liner to paint the wheel wells is a great solution! Well done, girl! ๐Ÿ˜Š
