Here's how we create textile effects in Illustrator…
The textile texture pack from Astute Graphics is available to fully subscribing customers. They are repeating textures which mean they can scale up and down seamlessly. Here’s a quick guide on how to add a baby rib knit texture to your artwork in Illustrator:
🐞Draw a rectangle over your artwork
🐞Open the Texture Panel by navigating to Window Astute Graphics Texture.
🐞In the Category drop down menu select Textiles. If you don’t have that pack downloaded, you can find it on your Texture page in Astute Manager or in your account.
🐞Select the Textile texture you’d like to use from the next drop down menu, then click the big plus icon to Apply.
🐞Use the Texturino UI handles to change the Scale, Opacity and Rotation of the texture, ensure you’re on Knockout blending mode, and click the Invert Texture button.
🐞Change the color of your original rectangle to adjust the look.
