Actually KQo is usually better to call than 3 bet IP. As it never gets folds from better hands, and it gets folds from hands it dominates. K9s would be a much better 3 bet.

Its a good 3-bet in certain positions. 3-bet KQo BTN vs a LJ-CO open, SB vs a BTN open, BB vs a SB or BTN open. I wouldn't 3-bet in any other spots. Keep in mind this would be best for 100bb. Once you start playing deeper 200bb+ you should 3-bet the offsuit hand at a lower frequency because of reverse implied odds. Bigger the stack higher your implied hands go up in value and your high offsuit hands go down in value.

If I see significant folds from my 3B then I can start mixing in some weaker ones like KQ. However, if people are not in a folding mood then no. Missing the flop 1/2 the time with AK is enough. Adding in another hand that misses 1/2 the time when people are sticky is -EV.
Bigger question is when you decide to expand your 3B range should you add A5 first or KQ first?

Nah depends if you’re in a tournament in a tournament you’re best of ICM stalling 100% of the time earlier and most of the time mid and late

But you’re not bothering to talk about your opponents ranges when they’re opening. Also, their position. certain games when the guy raises under the gun, you’re lighting money on fire three betting with king queen
