Setting up a 5 bedroom 3400 ft2 house by myself was humbling

You see, growing up as a strong independent woman, I’ve been a DIY girly for the last few since all my other rental units have been less than 1800ft2 and relatively manageable to do by myself with only a little help

But y’all I think my DIY days are over 😅

I started painting the garage dark green because I wanted to convert it into a dark moody movie room and was like ehhh I’ll just do this one myself, should be fun

Painted one wall and was like literally WHY am I doing this, this is not the highest and best use of my time and I’m not even having fun, I’m DONE 😂 went on @thumbtack and hired a painter who has now become my most trusted handyman

From that day onwards I started hiring EVERYTHING out

Light fixture changes, wallpaper installation, furniture building, painting, setting up electronics, ALL OF IT

Except the design of course 💛 @yellowdoor.design

One of the best parts about real estate and entrepreneurship over having a normal W2 corporate job is leverage

You have the ability and opportunity to buy back your time so you can spend it doing the things you ACTUALLY want to do.

Thats the reason we get into this business 😎

Will I still DIY some stuff, sure, but it has to be something I actually want to do and not something I’m doing just for ego
