Insulin resistance perhaps if this happens within 15 - 30 minutes after eating.

As a night shift worker for most of my life.
Naps are critical. My family knows when I disappear for a little bit from a function. I went to sleep. It’s how I survive and they love me for being present and they appreciate my hard work.

My dad did this. 10 minute nap after lunch every day all his life. He was a hard working farmer and cattleman. Laid flat on his back, instantly fell asleep, snored the paint off the ceiling, woke on his own, went back to work.

I used to take 20 minute naps on my lunch break. That gave me 10 minutes to eat.

I actually would feel invigorated.

I also don’t think it’s unusual. I think it’s a great idea. I might start trying it myself.πŸ€·β€β™€

Knew a guy who was a sonar guy on subs in the 70’s and 80’s tracking Russian boats. He swore by power naps too. But the nap had to be between 5 and 10 min. He would set an 8 min alarm. If he went over 10 min then he would get sleepy and not rested.

I used to nap 10-15 mins at a time. Used to tell my kids to take the cup of tea away if I fell asleep quicker than I could drink it.
