I’ve played my flute for only like 2 1/2 years. Im currently learning piccolo and would love to learn alto one day. (Im in marching band too so that’s a bit more experience than just if I did concert band)

My flute is going into the shop today. I haven't played it in 10+ years. It definitely needs it. It needs new pads and cork. I can't wait to get back.

i had my flute for three years. I noticed it being a bit funky and odd once, so my teacher took it to maintenance for COA. A few months later it was returned saying that it was actually way past broken and it would've actually cost more to fix than its whole worth XD

Would you recommend having this done to any flute that has never had an adjustment? I have a feeling my basic student flute hand me down would play a lot better, but not sure if this is just for the more professional model flutes.
