I think you might be able to achive better results if you design the pickup to capture "vertical" movement of the string rather than "horizontal" as conventional pickups do. You can compare the current sound as is and then try to place the pickup on the side of one string. I did this experiment and signal to noise ratio is better with the pick up placed vertically. Vertical placement of cause is not practical for conventional pickups. That's why magnetic violin pickups look like bunny ears between the strings 😂

Nice!!! There's a lot of sources saying magnetic pickups won't work well on a violin. Way to prove them wrong! I would suggest testing again but with a stronger bowstroke. If not, you'll emit less of the fundamental frequency and more of the subsequent harmonics
