I take a photo of each side of the home and do a walkthrough video before starting. I had a woman suggest that I damaged her wood trim. Photos taken before I started the job were the only thing that saved me from having to pay for damage that I didn’t create.

That is completely true. This past year. I did a house wash, took before and after pics when the job was finished, the customer accuse me of putting a hole through the siding thank goodness I took the before’s and there it was a nice hole in her siding before the job was started.

So true. I try to do a pre walk with the client to go over just that. My jobs tend to be a couple days though so usually I’m meeting with the client at the start so I’m sure it’s a little harder with jobs like this

Absolutely true . I cleaned a hoarder porch . It had to be cleaned up before I could pressure wash outside tiles in porch. Her five dogs lived on porch with forty bags of trash . I removed all of it. Had to treat tiles to remove deep stains. I charged 150 . They wouldn’t pay because it wasn’t that bad.

Seems like a very high liability job to me.

In 9 years, I bet I can count on one hand how many walk-a-rounds I have done with a customer. True story. I mean, I don’t see very many of my customers. I should really do better about that when they are at home.
