i have a love-hate relationship. i know they're terrible for most people but i met my husband on one that was specific to something we both are into and it turned out amazing. he is unlike anyone ive ever met. and we just so happened to live in the same state. Fate truly took over.

Best thing to do is (1) be honest with yourself and only date when you are ready for commitment. (2) Communicate with your friends, family and community your intention... and see if they know someone single.... Then that adds to the vetting system and removes the chaos of online dating.

Which is why I stopped engaging with dating websites, the algorithms are predatory, the goal is to part you from your money with as many mechanics as possible so not only the systems screws you and keep you in a endless scrolling cycle. It's not gonna work for most men because it wasn't desgined to, it mostly work for a small group of men and a big group of women who at the end of the day still are unsatisfied even though they are the one's mostly going out sharing the same small group of guys who has no interest in commitment. It's a money duplication glitch at societies' expense, the success rate of your average individual is far too low to be practice and it's birdlime scammy.

You have to really decide what you want in a partner first and then use the dating app and only when you find someone that actually fits your parameters do you put forth so much mental effort in really thinking that this is going to be a thing that's going to pan out
