I stayed at chukung on 12 November
Left at 7 am towards the lake in - 7 degree temperature. On way back had lunch at chukung and reached down to dingboche on 13 November 2024 at 5 pm.
Chukung is also gateway for 1 of 3 passes. One can take a day extra to cover this pristine natural beauty

On EBC trek trail from Dinghboche go towards Chukhung ( 4 to 6 hours trek) u can stay at tea houses. Multiple options there but very expensive. From Chukung trek another 4 to 5 hours on island peak trek trail. The lake is at the base camp of Island peak. At 5000 meters.
