Sole proprietor is just another word for a human being.
And when you form an LLC it's taxed just like you are taxed. as a human being.
And so what we want to do is stop doing business as a human being and start doing business as an LLC, a limited liability company (LLC).
Even though we will be taxed the exact same way!
It's the legal protections we are after.
It's the professionalism we are after.
It's the foundation of good business that we can build on.
that’s the goal of the LLC.
We do that by opening up an LLC in the state we're doing business in.
And then we go get an EIN for that LLC.
And then we take those two pieces of paperwork to open a business bank account.
That's how we become an official business, ready to accept payments and do business in the United States.

What if you are a sole proprietor with two DBAs and already have an ein number? What happens to that eun number and businesses if I get an LLC?
