Nice!!!
What kind of speed was that? If you can get it up on plane, the load on the motor will greatly decrease, and speed should increase dramatically. But those round-chine boats don't plane the same as the square ones. I suspect that your motor might push a standard, square jon boat pretty fast with the right prop.

Does the lower unit multiply (or) reduce motor rpm to the prop ?
As a straight shaft to the prop is one to one…
