In iteration planning (or Sprint planning in Scrum), the goal is to foster a collaborative conversation between business representatives (like the Product Owner) and the development team, aiming to convert requirements into a valuable, running deliverable. Here’s how it works in the PMP context:

🔹 Setting the Stage
⏳ Fixed Time Box: Each iteration has a defined timeframe, and team capacity is also set.
👥 Business & Development Collaboration: The Product Owner presents the prioritized business needs, while the development team assesses feasibility and dependencies.

🔹 Creating the Iteration Plan
📝 Discussion & Negotiation: The team collaborates with the Product Owner to finalize a realistic plan based on priorities and feasibility. This plan, called the Iteration Plan or Sprint Plan, outlines what will be delivered by the end of the iteration.
🎯 Defining the Goal: Together, they create an Iteration Goal (or Sprint Goal)—a summary statement that defines the focus for the iteration.

🌐 Facilitation: As a project manager or Scrum Master, your role is to facilitate the conversation, ensuring the Product Owner clearly presents requirements and the team can discuss implementation effectively, resulting in a balanced, achievable plan.
