This is one of the very first exercises I began with, during my Reiki level 1 training. But everyone and anyone can do it, including kids. Doing this on a regular basis is not only a nice energy sensing technique, but it is a somatic healing practice as well. It helps get you into your body, and into the present moment.

After you’ve built up energy and warmth in your hands, and created your energy ball, the next step is placing your hands on a part of your body that could use some love. I often put my hands on my head, heart, or tummy.
