Announcing himself before walking inside as he opened the door is KEY!! Anyone who is in the bathroom gets made aware of the situation and they can then choose to leave or take whatever precautions they need to feel comfortable. He prioritizes safety and is being an amazing dad

My Dad used to knock on the door and announce himself loudly and ask if anyone had a problem with it and wait so other women could exit. Then he would check the bathroom and leave the main door open and said “I’m sorry my daughter is using the restroom and I’m staying right here for her protection.” Glad I was raised like this girl was.

He handled it well. I have many times helped dads clear the women’s restrooms so their baby girls can go potty in a clean safe restroom. I’ve stood at the door to let other women know there was a dad in there with his daughter. Most women don’t care and are understanding. ❤ Kudos to this dad. He did what he had to do.
