My Labrador lives to play fetch. It is the number one thing we do together for fun.

I have 2 ShihTzus and they both have learned to LOVE fetch time. Took a while to get the return and drop it part down, but lots of praise and treats do the trick. Small dogs thrive on training and exercise, too! Happy pups = happy home

My dog has never been interested in fetch or toys. He does love tug but he’s an English Mastiff and I’m a 70 yr old grandma so tug games are of very short duration. Gives my body a short workout though. But he loves it when I throw treats or cubes of his food. Especially when it bounces along the ground.

Our dogs never liked it. They're two rough collies and even when they were puppies they didn't like it. When we went to the park they just watched whatever we threw like "what the hell are you doing hooman?" and went to sniff around a bit and then just lay down in the shade. They're 11 years old now and still do the same thing when we go to the park. They're the most boring dogs ever. They fit perfectly in our barely active life.

This is a great point ! I train assistance dogs 🐕 after the basics or learnt , sit , stay down etc I teach the fetch with a ball n Frisbee, as that the main job an assistance dog dies , fetch n carry guve s you back whatever you point at ? The fetch is certainty the best starting point 👉 as told by thus great man 👨. Interaction is the key

Thank you so much !! your videos are so inspiring and informative. As a long time dog owner, I recently adopted a puppy Labsky, after taking a break of 5 yrs since my last 2 dogs, who both died of Old age, (I miss them a lot), but now I adopted this little guy , and at 2months old, he is better at being a Pet then I am at being Daddy.. God blessed me with my little jewel. Honestly, my friends are JAW DROPPED amazed at his character. Anyway, Thank you, I want to be the best I can for my dog, because I know and see he is being the best dog for me.

Easiest funniest thing is to keep dropping things on a walk. Ooops, i dropped my keys, or a glove or a hair band, anything. Keep the dog on his toes, look after his clumpsy companion. Or even you, you might change direction or hide. Happy dogs. 😁

My female aussie loved fetch but my arm would get tired before she would.

I can't wait for the day that my recently (4 months ago) adopted GSD starts playing, especially fetch. Walking is the only option for exercise that we have right now. I know that walking is supposed to help with our relationship, but since she's very fearful, she isn't exactly relaxed on the walk. Not really "with me", or looking to me for what to do when she's scared. Some day...

My dog likes to run with the ball and play with it, but he doesn’t bring it back😅

Brain games hunt games trick games lots of modern enrichment I made my own. There’s a time for running but getting a dogs brain active will tire them out. A track and find would tire my boxer boys way more than running. After a 10 mile hike 30 min and they would go again 1 hr enrichment sleep all night. It’s having a mixture of all and spending lots of quality time with ya pups as there not here for long so make the most of it.

Except when they’re puppies. A tired dog is just a cranky dog that doesn’t know how to settle down at night although you just did a bunch of training, a long walk and fetch/tug. Lol but I get what you mean for sure

My 5 month old Frenchie loves playing fetch but she is my 1st bulldog to like it maybe is the age lol

My Frenchie only likes playing fetch occasionally and when she's sick of it she'll just not chase the toy. Oddly though she likes to play tug with balls...not sure why she prefers to play with the ball over other tug toys, she's a bit weird.

My dog keeps it interesting by occasionally running off with the ball and hiding it - usually in water.

Yeah. My dog doesn't give a shit about fetch.
