Shimano reels just seem to keep going for years, never had a problem with them. I've had a Shimano 2500 feeder reel for about 15/20yrs, only ever oiled it 1-2 times and it's still as smooth as the day I got it.

Just bought a set of beastmasters in 14000 which just look amazing. £65 each too brand new and sealed!

Shimano make the best reels by far. I would always opt for a shimano. I would prefer the cheapest shimano over an expensive reel from a different manufacturer.

I keep buying baitrunners when i see them on marketplace or whatever - they're so cheap for what they are - ive got so many now and I dont even need them I think ive got a reel buying problem

I have the shimano ultegra 14000 xtd reels. I love them. I still have my Shimano seaspin bait runners from years back, they really need a service!!! 😄
