Holy cow time went fast. When i was like 6, 4GB VRAM was more than enough to play games at max settings. But now after 10 years, you need something like 16GB to play properly.

It's too bad there's not nearly enough horsepower to even utilize all that VRAM. You're better off with a 6700XT 9 times out of 10.

i ran into vram issues with 2080 super 8gb at 1440p high textures in some games so now i have 4080 and cant get enough gpu utilization to get shit for fps, ultra settings 1440p i get like 5-30% gpu utilization

What!!! 8gb isn't enough.for 4k ultra ... Well of course not... Most 8gb cards won't even play today's games at ultra .. and barely at 1080p ... So vram isn't an issue for those

8 pcie lanes still missing on the amd mainstream gpus. So these are a no go on older systems.

Might be an unpopular opinion but I think GPU will be the problem before you can even use 16GB of VRAM.
I think 12 GB for 7600 class is enough.
Unless, you are planning to do AI stuff with 16GB which... AMD is not really good at it.
