I had a conversation with a male coworker about this topic. At 19 he was making $11 an hour and it wasn't even that long ago. He realized that this rhetoric is wrong because he himself was not ready to have a child and he wouldn't know what to do if he had one. We had a supervisor at work who was like that. His wife held him in a tight fist and he'd take it out on the women that worked under him. I filed a complaint on him once. He said how women after a certain age, 30, are unattractive but again he MARRIED HER when she was 32! 32! I felt awful for his wife when he said that. But then I remember it was probably a grift. That being said as much of a hypocrite he was, he didn't deserve what happened.

He told students that the only reason a woman should be in college was to get her Mrs degree. His wife has 3 degrees, including a law degree and a doctorate.
