With some wood I sloyed a simple drop spindle. All that is needed is a stick, something a bit disk shape and some tools. The disk attached to the stick will create a fly wheel effect which produces a more consistent spinn of the spindle.

I'm still a beginner to spinning yarn, but this is how I do it.

1. Fasten the wool to the spindle and hook it to the spindle
2. Take the combed wool into one hande, your wool hand
3. Give the spindle a spinn
4. With your free hand, take hold of some wool and pull it out to an even strand
5. Release the grip, the twist will travel up to you wool hands grip
6. Repeat step 4 and 5 until the spindle has started to spinn in the oposite direction, then instead repeat from step 3
7. When the spindle is to low, the yarn is to long: unhook the yarn from the spindle, roll the yarn up on the spindle, hook the yarn to the spindle again, and repeat from step 3.
8. When you are satisifed with the amount of yarn spun up on the spindle, unhook the yarn and roll it up to a ball. Then repeat from step 1.
