Real Madrid are slowly turning a corner and the past couple of games have shown signs of improvement in terms of their play and attack and they’re playing much better than they did at the start of the season and they’ve been on a bit of a “resurgence”. This is supposed to be “one of their worst ever seasons” “they’re in crisis” and despite not even being at their best for majority of the season, they’re a point off of 1st place in La Liga and will temporarily be top of the league if they win their next game and they’ve been doing this under difficult circumstances with the amount of injuries they have and problems they’ve dealt with and given Barcelona’s dip in form although Atletico Madrid are a serious contender, there’s still a long way to go in the season, with Madrid playing better, they could probably win the league and turn around their situation in the champions league because it doesn’t matter where they are in the league phase, as I said before, they’re a team who can never be written off in this competition. Even when they weren’t playing well, they were obviously going to click into gear at some point in the season and we shouldn’t be surprised about the position they’re in and that’s because 1. They literally have 2-3 of the best players in the world who are absolute game changers and when they’re all playing well, the team will be difficult to stop and they were expected to figure it out even if there were doubts as to whether or not they could play together especially with the amount of egos they have in the dressing room 2. As important as it is to be consistent and hit the ground running, who cares if a team was average or good at the start of the season, 3. Real Madrid have an inevitability about themselves and they don’t have the be the best team or play the most attractive football to get results as they know how to find a way and what we’ve seen from them reminds me of the start of last season where they were winning without playing well, everyone was questioning Ancelotti’s tactical approach as many of their fans questioned whether or not they could play with a diamond as they felt that they were better playing with a traditional 4-3-3 formation and as soon as they settled in their system and got used to their roles, they became a fun team to watch at times and they ended up winning the league and UCL, I mean, did you really think that they were going to be this bad for so long, anyone who thought they would is stupid.

Real Madrid produced one of if not their best performances of the season against Sevilla as majority of the goals they scored were absolutely ridiculous and their attackers are slowly finding their best form again and when it comes to their play and chemistry, they’ve gotten better from an attacking perspective and while the only concern is their defense as has been the case for the entire season, as long as they’re scoring goals and their attack is outscoring other teams, their attacking firepower alone can make up for their inconsistent defense plus it’s either they find a way to have more defensive solidarity in the team or they sign some defensive players in January and strengthen their backline as outside of that, they’re getting scary with every passing game. Ancelotti deserves credit for their recent turnaround and how they’ve rejuvenated their season despite the fact that at one point he was under pressure and many of the fans were calling for him to be sacked and Madrid have lots of reasons to be optimistic about their team going into 2025 as they have to build on their improvement because they’ll eventually become the unstoppable force we think they’ll be.
