He says turn all the bass off. If u turn the tone controls off on the guitar, u r turning all the treble off. It's a shame he invented that name of that tone but cannot properly describe how to get it

It's not the first time I hear about a bass reducing tone control. In the documentary Get Back, John Lennon and Paul McCartney are asked to turn down the bass. But instead of using the amp controls both are trying to use the guitar tone controls. And now the same thing with Clapton. I really don't get it. A Bass Control is very unlikely on a guitar. Even back then it was very unlikely to have such thing.
