You don't have to buy the items, can literally just line them up at the thrift store and take a photo for ref, then put them back on the rack. Less waste of resources that you may not ever wear. Alternatively, you can also donate them to a shelter or give away to the homeless.

Here's an alternative if your cheap like me:
1. Go to local thrift store
2. Pick out clothes
3. Go to dressing room and take pictures of the clothes laid out or on you.
4. Return items and make it look like you might come back later to buy something but not really.
5. Go home and draw OC
