If your toddler is always at your feet when you're in the kitchen, let them join you! And you don't need anything extra like a learning tower to do so. In our Montessori home, I simply bring everything down to my daughter's level and allow her to join me in whatever process is safe and of interest to her. Did it take much longer to make kimchi with a toddler involved? Of course. But she is so proud every day that we are eating something she helped make. There are so many learning opportunities and memories to be shared if we take the time to slow down and let our littlest members join us in the kitchen.
