I put my thing next to me on the floor and usually my phone,and my purse so my purse is on the floor to the right of me and my phone would be where ever is best for the nail tech

I started doing full sets on music since I was 13, before it was common for teen girls to be strutting long nails on the regular. I used to watch NCE, but I mostly just effed around until I’d find out, and my biggest mistakes were overcutting my cuticles and aggressively cleaning under my free edge with force. I ended up reshaping my nail beds to be all crooked and directly sized! And my ring finger forever has a thick proximal nail fold, which if I were to cut off, would make my nail plate half-short, half-long. I should have listened to Suzie more! 😅

Ill add ifnyou dont feel like sharing desk space, give the client a little cart, like a hairdresser cart! I have one in pink, all for them, the purse, themphone, the keys. Because i tend to whatever i already used goes to my left, heh.
