I think the strange half-transparency of bulbs and grates is a bug that will be patched, don't expect that to be in the final update

I know it's identical to wooden doors, but copper doors should at least be zombie proof like iron doors.

Even besides they're usability in screens, the copper bulbs can be used to build turing machines which are incredibly useful for redstone computers.

Bulb and soul sand have interesting thing in common: both have properties of solid and not solid blocks

Feed-tape powered invisible combination lock, self-resetting! You don't even know it's there until you press a button you place down, then a feed take reveals a row of bulbs. Set them accordingly to the correct combination, then press the button again and they slip back behind the wall and the mechanism is hidden again, after which it will check the combination you entered! Self-resetting every single time!

Fun fact: If you power a block, read it out with a comparator and put on the opposite side a item frame, the comparator will only give a output, if you put power 15 into the block. With Target blocks you can shorten your systems (the second)

you can read things with a comparator through the copper grate, even if it is a transparent block that doesnt allow signal to flow through. At least in bedorck edition
