By the way, a question concerning chips, which I have sometimes wondered about: At what node size does the life expectancy of consumer chips here on the surface of Earth begin to shorten due to the likelihood of becoming permanently damaged by stray cosmic rays, rather than being merely operationally disrupted by them? It may not be a relevant issue at all, but perhaps at some point it might. Perhaps it might even impact the chip's taste and flavour to the extent that a connoisseur might take notice.
