Middle managers are the worst. There's a guy in my office who does a lot of stuff and we chat every morning and evening as we get the same bus. We have a boss of the office and a boss for the company in our country (it's an international company with branches on 5 continents). We got a new middle manager who came in last year and i work under him according to the team chart, as does thid guy i talk to who's been there over 15 years. MM constantly asks him to do stuff and gets mad whenever this guy prioritises the office boss and the country boss over him. MMs tasks he wants this guy doing isn't even priority as it has no direct bearing on our operations. Apparently once MM got pissy and the other bosses called them both in for a meeting where MM got the smack down put on him. I wish i could've seen it
