The ONLY perk that I am after the business class is the ability to lie flat and have a proper sleep. Idc about the entertainment aspect whatsoever. I have my phone and iPad, plus my own AirPods. If I get bored, I can always read books. I NEVER rely on in flight entertainment bs.

I had an entirely different experience in business class on Philippine airlines Newark to Manila.
Amazing price.
Inflight entertainment, a nice private cubicle with lie flat bed AND some of the best service I’ve ever experienced flying.
In fact, I enjoyed it so much, I was almost disappointed when the flight was coming to an end.
17 hour flight and was worth EVERY penny.

I used that product. It was nice. What he didn’t say was they gave free WiFi and inflight entertainment was via WiFi. I flown in this to Manila from USA for $379

I’ve flown PAL business class several times and have never seen this type before. I think someone said in the main video that this is their older biz class model…the PAL flights i’ve been on have a wide selection of IFE and the lie flat was really comfortable. I hope Dan can try the more newer models to give PAL a fair shake 🥺

Fortunately, these are the older cabin configurations on the a330s, mainly used on middle east bound flights
The reconfigured a330s offer a much better cabin layout, comparable to the a350s

If you are travelling with a partner/friend the configuration is ok. The lack of IFE is bad but a PC/tablet does the job. I admire the staggered foot well, very smart to save space. I would take the window seat, it looks much spacious, even if i have to cross my neighbour seat to go to the toilet. Overall it's not much different from the current lufthansa business (not allegris). And the price is worth it

Upgraded myself at the airport when flying Manila to Hong Kong a few years ago, and it was those seats then, too! This was at least 6 or 7 years ago. I woke up just prior to landing at HK, best sleep ever. The crew kept my breakfast on a side. It helped that I was hungover as I don’t even remember whether there was any entertainment or not. Loved it and it was even cheaper then.

Hell yes for that price. Being able to lie flat is worth it. Just bring my own tablet and book a window seat OR a middle isle seat for direct isle access and noone climbing over you.

Torally worth it. I would pay a fraction of the price , but still get to lay fully down and eat nicer food ? Yeap , im bringing my own tablet with movies , totally worth it

I fly PAL occasionally. They upgraded me to business class in 2016. Then before takeoff they bumped me back to economy in a middle seat. Never taking them again but unfortunately codeshare flights still happen and PAL always disappoints me.

I would fly this for $750. I’d just bring my tablet. Heck I paid almost $2000 for economy plus seats Cape Town to Newark
