I was 8 years old......
Yian kut-ku was my wall until I used bombs to beat home. Felt good.
Got stuck on Cephadrome until I used a cheat engine called cheat shark to beat the game. Got full Faitalis gear then got banned online for cheating.
Good memories and the starting point for the next twenty years for more Monster Hunter goodness.

This game taught me as a kid that hard work and practice pay off. Felt so good when I finally beat yian kut ku, then rathalos then monoblos. I remember staying up late to join the online lobbys to fight Lao Shan Lung and Fatalis

Bruh… yian kutku is a menace, and rathalos is the first end game boss… can’t make rathalos helmet since it is locked behind online if i’m not wrong…
Honestly kinda miss that moment where rathalos is not your weapon testing monster

I was little when I first played and was scared of the forest part of "forest & hills". I repeated the same meat delivery quest (50g for completion) and sold well done steaks (I think it was 180g per steak) until I had bought all 5 pieces of the best armor available for purchase, at 4050g each piece.

I have the game and played it for about an hour because my PS2 doesn’t have enough space for me to save the game (RIP) but the one thing that uniquely stuck with me was how strange and annoying it was to attack with the stick. With that being said, will you be playing with a controller?

I played the OG MH. Got walled by Cephadrome. Not cause it was hard, BUT CAUSE THE BASTARD RAN AWAY THE WHOLE TIME AND I DIED OF HEAT STROKE! XD

I have play first monster Hunter on PS2 and it quite difficult because hard to control btw I was stuck on one quest is catching monster because it is different from other MH series

I got into it half a year ago I believe.
I already played MH freedom so I knew what I was getting into 😂
It's quite a painfully funny experience if I'd have to describe shortly lmao, but definetely worth doing as a fan of the series as a whole.
Aside from that,
I got a very simple strategy for first gen cephadrome that no one seems to have ever found out, if I catch your stream while you do it I might drop it
