50 + years as a mechanic, and I've always done it, even my daughter does it! Drives her friends nuts! (That's the best part, watching people's reactions!😅)

First time I saw it I was taken aback for a half second and then immediately realized it's quite smart

I have for 28 yrs since I was 11yrs old , my pops taught me on the driveway growing up, he had a buick that leaked ps fluid, and trans, and a Chevy k15 that leaked oil, gear oil, and coolant, we had many lessons in that drive way. Robby, stick to bodywork.

Never in my life have I tasted car fluids, you can tell by the smell texture and color.

100%! That is the poor mans way to narrow down what to look for when you spot puddle on the garage floor. Just have a drink handy cause brake fluid is the worst!!

I wonder how many times his uncle peed under Hillbillies car and told him to taste it.

When I told my retire mechanic father the Derek from Vice Grip did that, he was incredulous. "You can tell by smelling it, you don't need to taste it! Jesus!"
