โš ๏ธGrease over Oilโš ๏ธ Oil mixes with carbon and turns into a gritty slurry that scours your internals worse than sand. Try and stick to grease, donโ€™t wreck your trigger parts. New video at 7pm Friday we're doing custom work and talking safety again. #shorts

Coper anti seize actually on that spot works better than just regular grease. The copper is softer than the metal and acts as a buffer/ barrier to prevent galling. From my experience.

JG is a master of the Glock for sure. A wealth of knowledge that man has. Always a pleasure to learn from him and take his teachings to the shop.

I know this guy spends a lot of time with Glock's, but I think Glock has also spent a lot of time with their pistols. So my question would then be, why wouldn't Glock recommend you use grease? Additionally, are we talking in all climates or only in the climate you work in?

As for how oil behaves when it takes on carbon, I feel like this is oil dependent. There's been testing to show that not oil is made equal, and some oils will allow parts to wear on each other more than others (parts wearing into each other isn't always bad).

We should also consider that there's people shooting 10's of thousands of rounds with just oil and minimal cleaning (40k+).

I'll be curious if you expand on this, but I'm skeptical, and I'd like to see exactly how this conclusion was reached (testing etc).

I use red axle grease on connector and clean and lube again after every few hundred rounds. I love cleaning my Glocks.

Grease with carbon vs oil with carbonโ€ฆ.
Could you explain the difference. It seems to me that they would both scour the parts. Is grease better at suspension on surface vs oil flowing around carbon.
I use frog lube on all my firearms. Just looking for perspective.
