I will never, ever understand people that don’t have a leash on their dogs when they are out. Not only do you prevent what occurred here, but it’s for the safety of your dog! Lawsuits aside, it’s just responsible ownership.

I was walking with our Aussie a while back, on a lead, when we were attacked by chocolate lab off leash. I immediately dropped my lead. My dog kicked the lab's butt & sent him back to his owner yelping. The guy was actually laughing as his dog was attacking mine right up until his dog went yelping away! He threatened to sue me, but the entire thing was caught on security cam by a neighbor who is a retired cop. The neighbor also witnessed the entire thing & said the guy always has his dog off leash & the dog has a history of going after walkers, dogs, & ever deer & cats. Cops showed up, took the report & copy of the video & took the dog. My Aussie walked away without a scratch!!

I see this at the dog walk/playground close to me a lot. It's hard to control your dog when unleashed dogs approach. Even with signs posted saying dogs need to be on a leash, there's always that person who thinks that doesn't mean them.

A lot of time these people with out of control, unleashed dogs are unapologetic. It doesn’t excuse her ignorance but I’m glad no people or animals appear to be harmed. Do better pet owners.

Ban that irresponsible,entitled owner from ever owning pets. she thinks she's special? rules and laws don't apply to her. Take her dogs and re-home to responsible owners.

I have accidentally dropped my dogs leash a few times it happens to the best of us. But if this lady didn’t have them on a leash then that’s not good

Train your dog to recall and not to bolt when you open the door. Unless they are trained off leash and recall, dogs should always be leashed. This could have been a lot worse.

Looks to me as that lady saw good in the dog she may have adopted that may have been faught with other dogs prior to the rescue.. dog is wagging tail just seems its the only thing he or she knows.. the lady thought she could save the abused/faught puppy dog that get a bad rep.. 🤦🏻
