I think Baba is just immune to the effects, I doubt they’re helping. Also, this could be a stretch, but here’s my opinion on the trailer. They could’ve chosen any critter to get killed, but they chose Dogday to get mauled by Baba.
Dogday’s bigger body was on our side, and Baba killing a mini Dogday might’ve been a subliminal as to what side she may be on(against us)
