- Complex and simplified anatomy knowledge
- How to create a simplified character mannequin
- An established style of line quality
- An established coloring style.
- Plan the persona, pose, and design choices before drawing and find your references according to that.
- A working pipeline and specific style of your choice for your projects (especially for portfolio buildup)
If you're not advanced enough use references in each bottleneck. While trying to stick to the specific style you're aiming for.

Hi Marc i have a question. When creating the hard edged cel shading, is the gradient i can see along the edges of the shading (on the skin for example), fone with a softer brush before hand, or are you using some sort of custom brush that has a hard cel shading edge along with a subtle soft brush edge mixed into one brush? If that makes sense lol
