When I set out to make a gouge chisel I realised that I did not have 3 hands, can you imagine my surprise? I needed some way to hold the piece still with two hands and to hammer with a third. The solution was to build something to hold the piece down which could be operated by foot: A chain looped over the anvil with a board at the end which I could stand on. It works, the idea is good, but It has room for improvement.
